14 March 2016 - ISKO-UK AGM and meeting
Organizing information: roles, skills and training for the future
Welcome to the next ISKO-UK meeting which will take place on Monday 14th March in London.
Topic: What part will knowledge organization (KO) play in our ability to find and manage information in the future, whether it’s on websites, document management systems, collaboration systems, editorial systems, corporate intranets, or even on shared drives? What sort of roles will be needed to cope with the ever increasing amounts of information that we’re dealing with, and how do we prepare ourselves for these roles? Do university courses and other institutions reflect the needs of the market in their syllabus, and what other ways are there to improve our skills? What social and technical trends might impact our answers to these questions?
